Melissa Penaflor

Melissa Penaflor started her family law career in 2019 and enjoys being part of the support system for attorneys and clients. She works to handle all cases with compassion and understanding.

Melissa graduated from Sacramento State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in health and human services (Criminal Justice). Subsequently, she obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Kaplan University. In 2020, she opened her own notary business and is experienced in notarizing many types of documents, including loan documents, deeds, powers of attorney, wills, and trusts, timeshare documents, and general notary documents.

Melissa is excited to continue her career at Laughlin Legal. She loves the practice of family law where she can be of service to clients in what may be a difficult time in their lives. The opportunity to help others brings great joy to her.

Fun Facts: In her spare time, Melissa loves to spend time with family and attend concerts and sporting events. She has 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and loves the Dallas Cowboys!
