Caitlin L. Ashton

Caitlin is a California native and joined Laughlin Legal, PC in 2019. Caitlin’s practice focuses on family law, estate planning, and trusts and probate administration.

Caitlin represents individuals in a wide range of domestic relations matters in the Bay area, including divorce, pre-marital and post-marital agreements. post-judgment modification, contempt, child custody and paternity, and criminal and domestic violence matters.

Caitlin also provides estate planning services to meet her client’s wealth transfer and tax goals. She is experienced in preparing revocable living trusts, wills, financial powers of attorney and advance health care directives. She works with individuals and corporate fiduciaries through all aspects of trust and probate administration.

Caitlin received her A.B. in Political Science from Vassar College and her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Caitlin has been a member of the Massachusetts bar since 2013. Prior to joining Laughlin Legal, PC, Caitlin worked as an associate for six years at a private law firm in Wellesley, Massachusetts where she represented clients in a wide range of domestic relations matters. Caitlin is a member of the San Francisco and San Mateo Bar Associations and she serves on the Executive Board of the Vassar Club of the Bay Area. In her free time, Caitlin loves the outdoors and enjoys skiing, sailing and hiking around the Bay.
