Juvenile Dependency

We represent parents and foster parents in every stage of juvenile dependency proceedings.

For Parents

If you are a parent involved in a dependency court process, it is vital you consult with an attorney.

The dependency court can make orders that:

  • Remove your child from your care
  • Place your child with relatives or in foster care
  • Require you to engage in family reunification services in order to regain physical custody of your child
  • Limit or terminate your parental rights

We appreciate that the dependency process can be traumatic for both you and your child and we work hard to guide you through this stressful process.

For Foster Parents

If you are a foster parent and need help advocating for your foster child’s rights, we can assist you.

We also are experienced at advocating for your rights. We can help you establish de facto parent status, fight a proposed placement change that would move your foster child out of your home, or, when appropriate, facilitate the adoption process.

Foster parents sometimes feel they don’t have anyone speaking up for them in dependency proceedings. We are here to help you make your voice heard.
