Julia B. Bressman was born in New York City. She graduated from Cornell University in 2005 with a B.A. in Philosophy and from Cornell Law School with a J.D. in 2010, where she was an editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.  During law school, Julia interned at the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. After graduation from law school, she completed a fellowship with the Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office in Ithaca, New York.

Julia became a member of the California Bar in January 2012 and the New York Bar in 2014 and began practicing family law in 2012. Since that time, she has negotiated and litigated a wide variety of matters including issues of contested child custody, high net worth asset division, spousal and child support, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, as well as international cases involving sensitive immigration and religious issues. Julia has also handled multiple matters of paternity, support and custody for non-marital children.  She enjoys counseling clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives, advising them, advocating for them and helping them navigate their way towards an efficient and positive outcome. Julia lives in San Jose with her family including two daughters and multiple dogs. Julia loves to run, sing and cook. She is fluent in Hebrew.
